Inn. Mid C18 with earlier origins and C19 alteration. Squared sandstone
with tooled sandstone quoins, on rubble footings; pantile roof with brick
stacks. 2-storey, 4-window front. Plank door to centre right. Windows
throughout are 3-light, large-pane horizontal sliding sashes with painted
stone sills and pointed flat arches. Stepped eaves course. End right and
centre left and right stacks. Interior: massive spine beams and square
section joists to room to left of entrance passage. Cl9 fireplace with
plain surround to left end: corner cupboard with reeded edges and door of
one shaped raised and fielded panel. End right wall contains segment-arched
fireplace with monolithic lintel on plain jambs with coved imposts, and
cornice shelf. Bible cupboard door on strap hinges in front wall. At rear,
plank staircase door on H-L hinges. In room to right of passage, C19
fireplace in surround with dentilled cornice shelf.
