No 1A, Library House

C19 earlier mid. Three storeys and basement. Double fronted with two window bays. Hipped slated roof with bracketed eaves. Grit stone rubble. Segmental arched paired sash windows to second floor; first floor with splayed bay windows with dentil cornices. Former shopfront of ground floor with pilasters carrying entablature with projecting cornices, now with inserted modern splayed bay windows flanking altered doorway. Included for group value.

Nos 1 to 3 (consec) Nos 6 & 7, Nos 9 to 13 (consec) and Nos 15 & 17 to 19 (consec) together with Nos 1A,2A,10A and 11A form a group.
