Row of 4 shops on corner of Market Square. C18 with simple C19 modern shop fronts
with pilasters and cornices except for one C20 entrance. Rendered brick. Dentilled
eaves. Pantile roof. 2 storeys. Each shop is 1 bay with a Yorkshire sash on squat
16-pane sash window except for the corner cottage which has 2 modern casements to
Fishergate and 3 irregular bays to the Market Square, including a 2 storey canted bay
with C20 glazing and a C20 glazed door. The pent extension in Fishergate to the west
is not of interest. Group value with the cottages in the Market Square and
R S Wilson Antiques, High Street.
