10/36 Beckside Farmhouse

House. Late C17 - early C18, restored C20. Coursed gritstone rubble,
graduated stone slate roof. 2-storey, 4-bay lobby-entrance plan with 2-
storey, 2-bay rear wing. Recessed-chamfered mullioned windows throughout.
2-storey porch to bay 3: C20 board door, lintel with shallow 4-centred arch,
inscribed stone above: ' B '

3-light window above and small circular window in gable. Windows on ground
floor, from left of 3, 2, 4 and 4 lights; second window with a reused lintel
inscribed '1686 JT' and a hoodmould with label stops; windows on first floor
of 3, 2, 4 and 2 lights. All gables have shaped kneelers with ball finials
and coping; large rebuilt stack above entrance. Rear: C20 openings. Rear
wing probably C18, restored C20. Interior: main range: large fireplace with
timber bressumer and moulded ceiling beam. Burnt Yates Womens Institute,
