Pair of houses. Early C19. Pinkish-brown brick. Wooden eaves cornice. Slate roof with chimneys to gable ends and to right of centre. 2 storeys. No 144 is of 3 bays, No 142, 2 bays. Both have later C19 canted bays with modillion cornices and late glazing to the ground floor. No 144 has a central entrance with a panelled door and fanlight. No 142 has a glazed door and rectangular fanlight to the left and a lower passage entrance to the left of this. Both have wooden doorcases with reeded pilasters and open triangular dentilled pediment. 1st floor windows are 16-pane sashes in flush cases.
