5/93 Two Barns to the west
of Long Farmhouse

GV II


Two barns converted to stables with haylofts over. Mid and late
C18 with mid C19 alterations. Coursed rubble with red brick
dressings and pantile roofs. L-plan. North, street front is blank
except for a single doorway with either side single casements,
and to the left a further stable doorway, above 2 small
casements, all with brick jambs and segment heads. To the left
a doorway with C20 half-glazed door reached up an external flight
of brick steps. The east front has a stable doorway with
overlight and brick jambs and segment heads. Above to the right
a plank door with adjoining window under a single wooden lintel.
West front has to left a plank door and adjoining window, with
above 2 large loft doorways with-plank doors and to the left a
small loft doorway with-plank door. All with segment brick heads.
