7/142 Manor Cottage

GV II

House. Probably late C17, altered C19. Rubble limestone, stone slate eaves
courses to pantile roof. 2 storeys, 2:1 windows to 1st floor. Large quoins.
Doorway to left of centre has chamfered, quoined, surround and Tudor-arched lintel.
4-light, double-chamfered, mullioned window on left has brick relieving arch,
similar 3-light window on right of door. Gabled bay to right breaks forward and has
matching 2-light window to each floor. Main range has 2 half dormers each with a
2-light mullioned window beneath miniature gable with ashlar copings. Main gables
have shaped kneelers and gable copings. Brick end. stack to left has offset plinth
and cavetto-moulded cornice. Similar ridge stack to right.
