Probably early C19. Purbeck Stone walls and roof. Brick stacks. Three storeys.
Ground floor has C19 shop front with windows and door divided by moulded stone
pilasters and with moulded stone cornice and stall risers. First floor has 3 double-
hung sash windows and one blocked window. Second floor has 3 double-hung sash windows
with glazing bars and one blocked window. Return wall to Maxwells Lane has one double-
hung sash window with glazing bars on second floor. The rear wing, extending into
Maxwells Lane, may have been a separate house. Purbeck Stone walls, slate roof, brick
stack. Two storeys. The ground floor has a door and 2 windows, one casement, one fixed.
First floor has one casement window. An important building in the street.
