Farmhouse; C17, third quarter C19 for Price estate; Flemish bond brickwork, blue quoins and dressings; brick-nogged timber framing on rendered plinth, squared coursed lias rubble to chimney base; tiled roof. Two gables to road, 2 rooms deep: 2 storeys and attics. Main entrance left return. Face to road: 2 gables; all windows except bays stone sills, low pointed blue brick-on-end heads with keystones. Chamfered blue brick top to plinth; canted single-storey hipped bay on left, 2-light mullion and transom with stone sill. Slight; set back to right gable: single-light window on left, canted single-storey hipped bay to right with pair of French doors up one step. Above flush string course, 2 courses of blue bricks with 2 red between: 2-light casement window to left gable, 2 similar to right, set a little lower. Similar string above, at eaves level: single-light window with single blue band over in each gable, wide verge. Right gable lower than left, brick chimney in valley. Four bands of club tiles to left roof. Right return, plain brick section on left, plinth and string as front: projecting stone chimney base to right, rises to eaves, 3 diamond-set brick flues above. Right half wall timber-framed: single panel high to ground floor, 2-light mullion and transom window on left, 2-light casement on right, both C19. First floor 2-panel high framing, long, straight braces main posts to bressumer, 2-light casement; shallow panel above to eaves. Crested ridge tiles. On back left gable fully timber-framed: ground floor covered by lean-to: long straight braces corner posts to bressumer first floor, 4-light casement: shallow panels above between bressumer and tie beam, angle braces corner posts to tie-beam. Collar truss above, casement window, "V" struts in apex, plain bargeboards. Interior: wall between left and right halves of house below valley gutter timber framed throughout. Large chamfer to ground-floor ceiling beams. First floor 1 scratch-moulded door, H hinges, one boarded with original C17 hinges arid latch. Cut tie-beam trusses between 2 bays in roof (timber-framed half of house), half truss with collars only in centre each bay, 2 pairs purlins, ridge detail hidden by ceiling. Cellar below rear of timber-framed part. Remains of probable moat to east. Large part of 2-bay timber- framed house (or wing thereof) survives in C19 rebuild or enlargement.
