17/103 Shaw Green Cottage

GV II


Detached cottage. C17, extended C18 or C19. Main body; squared-
panelled timber framing with painted brick infill and painted
brick; extended at each end in painted brick. Thatched roof with
decorative ridge thatching. Brick stack and ashlar stack restored
in brick. Rectangular plan to main body with later extensions at
both gable ends. 1½ storeys with two 2-light eyebrow dormers with
early leaded panes to first floor. Two and 3-light casements, some
with leaded panes, to ground floor of timber-framed main body.
Four-light canted bay window with leaded panes to painted brick
extension to left. Interior not inspected.
