Cottage adjoining to west.

Probably originally several cottages, now an inn and adjoining
cottage. Painted rubble stone, slate roof to main section, stone
slate roof to cottage and to projecting wing on east, stone stacks
with brick caps to main section, brick stacks to end wings. 'L'-
shape range, main section of single storey and attic, end wings of
2 storeys. Main section has 2 gables to left each with paired
casement and timber lintel. Similar to ground floor on this end,
flanking central small gabled porch probably originally with
through passage. Right-hand end of main part has forward
projecting gable and lean-to with stone slate roof in angle
supported on coursed stone column. Doorway and small casement
below lean-to, both with timber lintel. Cottage has 2 small paired
casements on each floor with central projecting raking porch, and
well head in front garden. Wing to east, formerly a shop, has 2
small paired casements on first floor, large double width opening
to left on ground floor and door with flanking side lights and
large timber lintel right across to right.
Interior has several large chamfered beams in main section,
fireplace below main stack has been rebuilt.
