Former east lodge to Dowdeswell Court (q.v.), now house. Built
c1834, Roger's family heraldic shield on parapet over doorway.
Ashlar, slate roof. Rectangular main body. C20 flat-roofed
extension at rear, not of special interest. Single storey,
symmetrical 3-bay facade. Central doorway (now blocked) with
moulded architrave and moulded hood with consoles. Doric pilasters
either side of doorway and at corners. Single 4-pane sashes with
moulded architraves and moulded sills with consoles, flanked by
pilasters which rise up to band below cornice. Low parapet,
pointed up over doorway with heraldic shield at centre. Flat
gable-end coping.
