NY 86 SE HAYDON ELRINGTON

10/42 Elrington Hall Farmhouse

House, late C17 altered Cl9. Rubble, partly rendered,with quoins and dressings.
Slate roof, stone-coped gables with kneelers. T-plan with rear stair wing. 2 storeys,
3 windows. Central door with dressed stone surround in later glazed porch; windows
all altered sashes with tooled lintels, alternating jambs and slightly projecting
sills. Right return has blocked Cl7 single-light window on 1st floor, small casement
in attic. Left return has late Cl9 and C20 windows. Rear elevation shows outshuts
at each end and various Cl9 openings.

Interior: square-headed door with wave moulding from outshut into wing; blocked
2-light mullioned window visible from staircase. Roof with original collar-beam
trusses.
