Row of 3 cottages. Mid C17 and late C18, altered C20. Part timber frame with render
and brick infill; part painted brick; part brick; part painted roughcast. Old tile gabled
roof. 2 storeys. Large chimney on front roof slope on left with offset head and tall
clay pots. Rectangular plan. North west front: No. 45, brick, symmetrical, 3 bays;
3-light casement windows with bars, and segmental heads on ground floor; plain entrance
door in centre with small glazed panel. No. 46: one 2-light casement with glazing bars
on first floor, one similar 3-light casement in projecting bay on ground floor to right
of plain entrance door, similar to No. 45. No. 47 has 2- and 3-light similar casements
on first floor and one on ground floor to left of plain entrance door. No. 48 on left
and with gablet has small 3-light casement to first floor and a 2-light casement under,
both with glazing bars. Return gable to No. 48 on north east has timber frame, exposed
with a one-light and a 2-light casement with glazing bars. Gabled extension on left with
lean-to porch and half-glazed entrance door.
