Two adjoining ranges with gable ends to street, one house with shop
and possibly originally one property. Late C17 with rear
extensions of C18. Rubble stone (painted on street end of right
hand range) with quoins, stone slate roof with partial concrete
tile inner face, brick stacks. Earlier part of left hand return,
nearer street, has two 2-light chamfered stone mullions on first
floor, one similar 3-light below and blocked original doorway with
large stone quoins and lintel. Rear probably of mill C18 has
cambered stone arched doorway with wide 4-panel door, now glazed,
and similar window opening to left. Gable end blind except for
large ground floor shop window of C20. Right hand range has one
C20 metal sash on first floor in plain stone surround and C19 shop
front framed by twin thin decorative columns and sawtooth cornice.
