Signpost dated 1(6)76, moved from its original position nearby.
Sandstone and limestone. Square limestone base; octagonal
sandstone shaft. Height c3m. Inscription on the south side
'EDMOND ATTWOOD THE VINE TREE / AT THE FIRST TIME ERECTED ME / AND
FREELY HE DID THIS BESTOW / STRANGE TRAVELLERS THE WAY TO SHEW /
SIX GENERATONS PAST AND GONE / REPAIRED BY THOMAS ATTWOOD OF
TEDDINGTON AUGUST 10th 1(6)76.', towards the top of the octagonal
column. Circular stone above with brass plaque bearing the same
inscription. Six iron painted hands 'Cheltenham 7 / Winchombe 6 /
Shrewsbury 16½ / Evesham 8½ / Overbury 2, Pershore 7 / Tewkesbury
4½.' Octagonal pyramidal capping stone with ball finial.
