Schoolbuilding. 1893-5 by F. A. Walters in a Free Tudor Gothic Style. Red
brick with stone dressings, plinth and cill string courses. Tiled roof with
7 gabled casement dormers, shaped gable ends, end stacks, and 3 cut down stacks
corbelled from first floor between first and second, fourth and fifth, and
sixth and seventh bays. 2 storeys and attic. West front: 7 bays, 2-light
leaded first floor windows, ground floor cross windows with arched lights and
returned hoodmoulds. Originally built for St. Mary's College. BOE, Berkshire,
p. 312; Berkshire Architectural Guide, Betjeman and Piper, Murray, 1949, p. 156.
