Houses, now shops. C17, 1745, and refronted mid-C19. Rendered
and colour-washed, with continuous steep pitched slate roof, with
ashlar dressings. Rusticated quoins and lintels, first floor
lintel band, moulded eared architraves, moulded eaves band;
modillioned eaves to 3 left hand bays, coped parapet to
remainder. Shaped coped gable to left, plain coped gable to
right, both with kneelers. Single off-centre ridge stack. 3
storeys plus attics, 8 bays. Facade has to left, 5 bay C20
shop front; to right, carriage entry with rusticated surround,
and another C20 shop front. Above, 2 distinct facades. 3 bay
facade to left has projecting bay to right with three 2 light
casements and above, 3 smaller casements, that to right with
aedicule surround and mask keystone. Above again, single
sloping dormer with glazing bar casement. Facade to right, 5
bays, has 5 plain sashes and above, 5 smaller plain sashes.
Interior has some C19 moulded cornices and wall panels, C17 oak
open well staircase with square newels and turned balusters, 2
C18 doors, and roof with cruck trusses. Rear additions, C18 and
C19, brick with pantile roofs.
