6/8 The White House

II

Small house. C16 and early C19, extended 1970. Timber-frame encased in brick
now colourwashed, slate roof. Large 3 bay and smoke bay timber-frame encased in
brick and made 2 storey, wings added to rear at each end. Front has C20
rectangular hip-roofed bay to left of centre in original door position. To left
C20 door in window opening with cambered head, and to right 2 altered C19 sashes
with cambered heads. Above 4 2-light casements. Roof half hipped with large
stack on ridge to left of centre and stack behind ridge at right end.
