north of Somerley Park House

GV II

Stableblock. Late C18. Yellow brick, slate roof. Plan of 2 storey, 3 x 2 bay
centre portion with single storey 2 x 2 bay parts on either end. In centre full
height arched opening, now infilled with half-glazed double doors with side lights,
glazed area over Diocletian window in arch. Either side 12-pane sash. 6-pane
sash over, beneath pediment. Roof hipped with ridge cupola of square-plan, clock
on south face, and tented lead roof. Side parts have 12-pane sashes and hipped roof.
