Farmhouse. Probably early C17 with C18 and later alterations. Timber-frame
with brick nogging and brick additions. Hipped Welsh slate roof. Brick
rear side stacks. Rectangular plan aligned east/west with short cross-wings
at each end. Two storeys and attics. North elevation has exposed timber-
framed gable fronts to each end, the left one has a 2-light casement, probably
mid-C19, above tie-beam and a similar casement beneath. Right gable has one
window just below tie-beam. Central portion is C18 and brick with five seg-
mentally headed cross-casements. Beneath is long lean-to glazed porch with
entry. Frames of cross-kings are three square panels high from cills to
wall-plates. Interior not inspected, noted by RCHM has having exposed ceil-
ing beams and early C18 staircase with turned balusters. (RCHM, Vol III,
p 2180).
