Estate house. Dated AC 1854; few later alterations. Snecked slatestone rubble with
granite dressings. slate roofs with crested ridge tiles and gable ends with
bargeboards. Axial stack with brick shaft.
Plan: T-shaped on plan, with entrance at the outer side of the left-hand crosswing,
which has a room at the front and stair hall behind. The range to right has a room
heated by axial stack and small unheated room at the right end.
Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical front with 3 bays in the range to right and a cross
wing projecting to front left. The main range to right has a central canted bay with
casements and the datestone over; 2-light chamfered granite casement to right and
left. First floor has two 2-light chamfered granite casements in gabled dormers with
bargeboards. The wing to left has canted bay at ground floor-with casements, 2-light
chamfered granite casement at first floor with hood mould and breather above. The
left side has a flat-roofed porch with blocking course to right, re-used 3-centred
arched chamfered granite doorway with studded Gothic door with battens; first floor
has 2-light chamfered granite casement with hood mould. Single light in chamfered
granite surround to left, lighting the stair. The right side has a door to the lean-
to and 2-light chamfered granite casement at first floor.
