House. Early C18. Red brick, plain tile roof, stone coped gables
with plain kneelers. Brick gable stacks. Moulded stone eaves
cornice. Two storeys and attics. T-plan. Symmetrical five-bay
south elevation has central doorway with a plain painted stone
doorcase with bracketed hood. Raised and fielded panelled door,
rectangular overlight. Flanked on each side by two glazing bar
sashes under gauged brick lintels. Thick glazing bars mostly
renewed to same dimensions. Five similar windows above. Three
2-light roof dormers with hipped roofs. Side elevations have
decorative blind windows. Interior: Open well staircase, closed
string, widely spaced turned balusters, ball finials and pendants.
The right hand front room has panelled dado and fitted panelled
cupboards. The rear wing has a heavily moulded beam with scarf
joint.
