Pair of matching houses. Mid C19. Coursed, squared gritstone with gritstone
dressings and quoins. Stone slate roof to Clifton House, modern concrete tiles
to Brushfield House. Plain eaves bands. Three stone gable end stacks with plain
banding. Each has two storeys and three bays. To east, Brushfield House -
central semi-circular headed door. Plain jambs; projecting impost blocks
supporting bracketed stone hood. C20 panelled door with traceried fanlight over.
To either side, glazing bar sashes with flush lintels and projecting sills. Three
similar windows above. Clifton House identical, except for low plank door to
western end of building, Included for group value only.
