The cross is almost hidden in a copse at the southern edge of Tregonetha Downs, which themselves are thickly covered in bracken and brambles in the summer, and waterlogged in the winter, so not easily accessible at any time. According to http://cornishcrosses.oldcornwall.org the cross is known as "Cross and Hand". The photo is of the side of the cross that faces west; on the east-facing side the embossed cross carving is more clearly visible.
