House. Circa mid C18, with addition of later C18 and some C20 alterations. Painted
stone rubble, partly slate-hung. Slurried slate roof with gable ends; gable end
stacks, with rubble shaft to left, truncated brick shaft to right, and axial stack,
with cornices.
Plan: 3-room plan; room to left heated by gable end stack to left and porch entrance
directly into the room; extended by 2 rooms to right, with axial stack backing on to
the passage and end room to right heated by gable end stack. The end room to right
is built into the bank at the right.
Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical 5-window range, all windows C20 casements. First
floor has 5 casements, ground floor has 2-light casement with cambered head and
dripstone to left, wide gabled porch with slate-hung gable, inner moulded doorframe
with plain door with glazed panel and strap hinges. Wall breaks back to right at the
line of the axial stack, to right, a 2-light casement with dripstone, plain door with
glazed panel and strap hinges and end right C20 window with drip stone. External
stone stair at front right, leading to higher ground level at the right side. Right
side slate-hung, with C20 light at first floor to right. Left side has external
stack. Rear has C20 window to the central room, small single storey lean-to to
right.
