School house, now private house. Circa 1849. Shale rubble walls with granite
quoins, jambstones mullions, lintels and arch stones. Steep Delabole slate roof with
wide eaves and verges to gable ends, north and south, and roof dormer (east) with
shaped barge boards. External stone lateral stack towards south end of east wall.
2-room plan with central vestibule and stair. Late Gothic style.
2 storeys with first floor rooms mostly in roof space. 1-window east entrance front
has pointed chamfered doorway middle, with original ledged and braced door with strap
hinges; chimney left with steep granite weatherings; 3-light chamfered flat-headed
mullioned window to right with relieving arch and similar window to roof dormer,
over. Similar ground and first floor windows to south gable end. Small C20
extension to rear.
