C18 2 storey house covered with pebble dash. Mansard roof, original tiles. 1 hipped
dormer in centre. Modillion eaves cornice. 3 windows to 1st floor, sashes with
new glazing bars; ground floor has central entrance with 3 light sashes on each
side. Large lintels with keystone. Doorcase has 2 panelled pilasters and an open
pediment on consoles over blind semi-circular fanlight. 6 panel door with fielded
panels. 2 storey addition to left (formerly No 25) has late slate roof. One window
on each floor - glazing bar sash on 1st floor, 3 light casement with cambered head
on ground floor.

Nos 36 to 40 (even) Church Street form a group with Stratford House, Mill Lane
and all the listed building in the Market Square.
