Uploader's Comments

According to the National Trust who manage the site this is pump house is named Michell's Pump Engine House, it sits over old Michell's Shaft which was flooded when two shafts collapsed in the 1920s. A new shaft and pump house named Taylor’s Shaft was built between 1922 and 1925 to access the original still productive workings, it was a brand new mine located approximately 250 metres from the old Michell's Shaft. This Image has been perspective corrected as i don't have a shift lens.
