Farmhouse including front garden walls and gate piers. Circa early C19. Slurried
rubble walls. Grouted scantle slate roof (asbestos at rear) with brick chimneys over
the gable ends. Large external 3-stage rubble chimney breast at left-hand end.
Plan: Double depth plan with 2 rooms at the front (wider room left) flanking a cross
passage leading to stair and service rooms within probably integral rear outshut.
Probably back kitchen at rear left. Right-hand side is deeper at rear under
shallower roof, probably a later C19 extension.
Exterior: 2-storeys. Nearly symmetrical 3 window south east front with doorway
central to fenestration. Original door and windows: 4-panel door; 16-pane hornless
sashes. Circa late C19 fretted wooden porch with basket arch and cusped and pierced
bargeboard to the steep gable.
Interior: Not inspected but probably retains all its early C19 joinery including the
staircase.
Rubble garden walls on 3 sides of rectangular garden at the front. Gateway aligned
with doorway. Round-headed granite monolithic piers.
