Farmhouse. C17 or earlier. Painted shale rubble with Delabole slate roof with
brick chimney over external stone breast to east gable and stone rubble stack with
tapered top stage to west gable. Originally 3 room plan but now double depth with
rpobably C19 range along back. 2 storeys. 4 window north front. Grount floor has
2 wide windows which now have C20 casements but probably contained mullions like
one to right of gable roofed entrance porch. This granite framed window has hood
mould and was 3 light but mullions have been removed. Sixteen paned sashes to 3
first floor windows and 2 light 2 paned casement to right. Change in walling
surface suggest rebuilding further to right. Said to have had charred oak lintel
over fireplace to west end. Single storey flanking wings to front may contain
earlier work and are linked to coped rubble wall enclosing courtyard. Interior not
inspected.
