Cottage early C18. Clunch, painted and plastered with red
pantile roofs and tall, local brick stack. Two unit plan with
lower range at right angles, one storey and attic. Gothic
two-centred arches to windows with glazing bars, and boarded
door to left hand. House of James R Withers (b.1812-d.1892) a
local poet.
