GV II

Cottage, now a pair. Early C18, refronted late C18. Red brick English bond
to end walls, and Haddenham gault brick, Flemish bond to front wall. Plain
tiled roof, parapetted and tumbled gable ends. Large ridge stack rendered but
with exposed red brick strings. End stacks, also of red brick. One storey
and attic. Three gable dormers. Three ground floor windows, including two
under original late C18 segmental arches and a blind window at the north end.
Lobby entry doorway approached by double staircase with part of C19 cast iron
railings. The north end has the evidence for the refronting in the straight
joint of the brickwork. A gable horizontal sliding sash, C19, is visible.
