Bronze bust of Potto Brown surmounted on granite plinth with three inscribed panels.
'Potto Brown was born in this village 16th July 1797 where he spent his life devoting
himself to the best interests of those around him and died 12th April 1871.'
Potto Brown, the miller, built Houghton Chapel in 1840.
