Inn and stables, now house and doctor's surgery. Late C18.
Header bond brick with slate roof. Double-depth plan with a
total of four bays and two storeys and former stable wing to
rear. 4-panel door in bay 2 with overlight, pilasters and
flat hood. Total of 2 paired sash windows and three single sash
windows all with stone sills, cambered brick arches and no
glazing bars. C19 canted bay window in bay 4. Three of the five
sash windows in the gable end (which is rendered) retain
glazing bars. Three ridge chimney stacks. Lower stable wing to
rear. The building was used as an inn till 1848 and was
considered a place where gospel tracts might be left by the
Moravian community.
