BUCKLAND MONACHORUM MILTON COMBE
SX 46 NE
3/88 Gladisford Cottage
-
GV II

Small house. Circa late C18/early C19. Slate rubble walls. Half hipped slate
roof. Rubble stack to right gable end, projecting.
Double depth almost square plan with central entrance; 2 larger front rooms, right-
hand one heated, service rooms behind. The gable end stack probably heats both
right-hand rooms.
2 storeys. Regular 2 window front with blind window at centre on 1st floor. Small-
paned original casements with H-L hinges, all 2-light except for ground floor right-
hand window which is 3-light. The plank door at the centre may be original and is
under a shallow gabled door hood. All openings have segmental stone arches above.
Doorway at rear of right-hand end with window above - both probably original.
Interior not inspected.
