Inn formerly probably farmhouse. C17 with C19 and C20 additions. Rendered stone
rubble walls. Gable ended grouted slate roof. 2 rubble stacks with slate
dripcourse, one axial, one projecting from right-hand gable end.
Originally 2-room-and-through-passage plan; larger left-hand room heated by axial
stack backing onto passage, right-hand room heated by gable end stack. Rear wing of
1 heated room added behind left-hand room probably in C18. C19 lean-to at right-
hand end converted to a bar. C19 and C20 rear extensions.
2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3 window front of later C20 2 light casements with small
panes in large window openings. C20 plank door to right of centre behind small
probably C19 gabled porch. Single storey addition at right-hand end.
Interior: Left-hand room has chamfered cross beam, stops indiscernible. Fireplace
has cambered wooden lintel, chamfered with hollow step stops. Fireplace in right-
hand room has stone arch, possibly a replacement.
