House. Dated 1867 in floor tiles by Mawes. Yellow gault brick
with red brick dressings, patterned plain tile roofs and ridge
tiles. Two storeys with attics, double pile range with cross
wing to south west, service rooms and stables to north east.
Main entrance in two storey gabled porch with patterned barge
board and finial; six-panelled double doors in pointed arch with
fanlight and three-light window above. Three, ground floor
three-light hung sash windows; service screen wall and kitchen
entrance to left hand. Five first floor six-paned hung sash
windows in gauged flat brick arches with key blocks. Four
stacks include two gable end stacks to cross wing. Garden
facade with loggia of three bays, each bay with segmental arches
and paired wooden columns, side lights with coloured glass
margins, tented copper roof. Interior details original and
complete. Good chimney pieces, staircases and plastered
ceilings.
