Barn with shippon attached approximately 25 metres south- west of Barton Town Farmhouse

Barn and attached shippon. Barn C18, shippon mid to late C19. Rubble stone with
some brick dressings and cob. Scantle slate roofs with clay ridge tiles hipped to
left end, gable ended to right. Single storey shippon at right angles to front
right end of barn forming overall L-shape. Barn is lofted over at right end and
barn has double plank doors with timber lintel. Small plank door to right with
loft opening above. Shippon has square opening to left of two plank doors with
straight-headed brick arches. Lean-to to rear of barn with corrugated iron roof.
