No. 1 and No 41 Glover Street

Pair of houses. C17 origin, with extensive C19 alterations.
Timber framing visible in right hand gable end wall, with C19
gault brick of two building periods to front and rear walls.
Roof now covered with asbestos, but retaining mid C17 ridge
stack of red brick with diagonally set, grouped shafts on square
base. Single range. Two storeys. No. 1 has three flush frame
twelve pane hung sashes and a central doorway. Reeded doorcase,
also early C19, with boss enrichments and narrow hood. At the
rear is a kitchen wing addition. No. 1A converted to a handed
pair of cottages in C19. Two storeys. One horizontal sliding
sash to each at first floor, and a C20 window at ground floor.
Two doorways, one blocked.
