House, C15 or earlier, extended in C18 and C20. Timber framed, plastered,
roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 2-bay hall aligned E-W with late C16 axial
chimney stack at W end. 3-bay entrance range to W, early C18, forming an L-
plan. External chimney stack at N end contains C16/17 bricks but appears to
be of early C18 construction. External chimney stack at S end rebuilt in C19.
Single-storey extension to N of hall range with lean-to roof of black pantiles,
C20. 2 storeys. Symmetrical elevation. C20 half-glazed door with moulded
architraves and shallow hood on scrolled brackets, 2 double-hung sash windows
of 12 lights on ground floor, 3 on first floor, C18. Some exposed framing on
rear range. The interior of the hall has jowled posts, tiebeams and stop-
chamfered end plates. The entrance range has original doors, architraves and
fittings.
