2 dwellings. Mid C19 but incorporating earlier, possibly C17, work. Cob and stone
mix, roughcast; gabled-end slate roof. Single-depth plan house of 2 rooms and
central entrance hall with rear wing, and a cross wing to the right (Slipway
Cottage) heated by an external lateral stack to the right-hand elevation. Main
range with left-hand axial (probably originally an end) stack. 2 storeys.
Front: asymmetrical 3-window range; 12-pane hornless sash windows to first floor;
another larger 12-pane hornless sash window to left of central entrance; half
glazed door under canopy on shaped brackets; to the right a tripartite 4:12:4 pane
hornless sash window, its sill at ground level. Between this window and the door is
a C20 single light window. A single-storeyed C20 extension, of roughcast brick,
extends forward and to the left of this range and is not included in this listing.
Cross wing (Slipway Cottage), with a first floor 2-light casement window and a
ground-floor 16-pane hornless sash to inner face. Front elevation of wing with a
C18 3-light attic window, 15 leaded panes per light, the central light with saddle
bars; otherwise C20 windows and door. Right-hand external stack with C18 brick
shaft. C19 rear brick extension. Interior not inspected.
