3/14 Ford Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Mid C19. Painted rendered stone rubble. Original slate roof with gable
end brick stacks, deep eaves and lions head guttering.
Plan. Symmetrical double depth plan with 2 principal front rooms, central entrance
and staircase, and service rooms at the back.
Exterior: 2 storeys. 3-window range. Symmetrical. Original fenestration entirely
intact. Tripartite sashes flanking 12-paned sash. Ground floor has canted bay
windows with 12-paned sashes and 4-paned sidelight sashes flanking central doorway
with bracketted moulded entablature, incised decoration to the pilasters and 4-
panelled door, the upper 2 panels glazed.
Interior: C19 joinery, staircase, panelled doors and chimneypieces entirely intact.
Ford Farmhouse is a good example of a modest and remarkably unspoilt mid C19
farmhouse.
