Barn, then public hall, now dis-used. C17, with some late C19 alterations.
Timber-frame with painted brick infill, partially weatherboarded; on a coursed
rubble plinth under a pantile roof. Five framed bays aligned north-west/south-
east. North-west front has three casement windows, with an entrance to right of
centre which has a C19 ledged and boarded door within a wooden architrave. The
central bay formed the threshing floor, and the doorway has been blocked with
rendered brickwork and planted framing. Framing: three square panels high with
short angle braces. Gable-end trusses have four struts to collar and V-struts
in the apex. (RCHM, 3, p 198, no 18).
