Servants' wing to Hanley Court, now house. c1750 with early and mid-C20
alterations. Brick with plain tiled roof and brick ridge stacks. Two
storeys and attic. 2:1:2 bays; central bay breaks forward, is gabled
and has a blind round-headed central archway; it has a 3-light casement
with cambered head and 12-pane sash with side sashes on the ground floor
and a first floor Diocletian window; two bays to the right have two ground
floor 12-pane sashes and two first floor 6-pane sashes; two bays to the
left have a 3-light ground floor casement, two first floor 6-pane sashes
and the main entrance which has a moulded gabled canopy on brackets, a
4-panelled door and a transom light. Interior: oak staircase with turned
balusters and moulded handrail. (VCH 4, p 275; BoE p 189).
