Photo taken by my mother between 1942and 1946, when we rented ground floor rooms from Mrs Ekroyd. The telephone was at the foot of the stairs in the entrance hall and our rooms were on the right hand side as you entered the house. My father served in the RAF (and later in the Fleet Air Arm) and was stationed just down the road at RAF Credenhill/Hereford, now the SAS base.
