House. Circa mid C19 but possibly a refashioning of an earlier house. Stone rubble,
rendered to the rear and left end, probably originally rendered to the front
elevation ; asbestos slate roof, gabled at ends ; end stacks with chimneypots.
Plan: Double depth, 2 principal rooms at the front with a single-storey lean-to
adjoining the left end and a direct entrance into the centre front room which is a
stair hall. At one time the house was divided into 2 on the long axis.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay front with a central 4-panel front door with
a rectangular fanlight; 2-light C19 casement windows, 8-panes per light, the ground
floor windows with flat stone arches, the first floor windows below wider, longer
timber lintels indicating earlier openings. Stone rubble walls to the small garden
in front of the house with tile capping rise in height at the gateway and are
included in the listing.
Interior: Stick baluster stair with turned newel ; joinery.
This house forms a group with Manor Mill and Millhead Cottage : included for group
