TL 60 NW WILLINGALE Barn, 40m north-east of
6/21 Spains Hall

GV II


Barn, early to mid C19 and of timber framing and render with gabled peg tile
roofs. Of 8 bays with cart entrances in the 3rd bay from each end with gabled
midstreys (now blocked) on west side and plain gables over great doors on east
side. West side has lean-to peg tiled extensions. Framing is of soft wood
without jowls and with straight bracing and with elaborate cast iron 'knees'
below tiebeams. Roof has side purlins supported by queen post truses. Included
primarily for group value.
