House rebuilt circa 1910. Red brick with stucco dressings, pilasters and entablature
at each level. 4 storeys and attic, 4 windows, arched sashes. Heavy cornice,
slate roof. Front rooms fitted up in an elaborate Louis Quinze style. Staircase
with curious double gallery may be genuine C18 woodwork. Turned balusters and
inlaid treads. Doorcases on 1st floor landing may also be genuine C18.
All the listed buildings of Cathedral Yard and Nos 1 and 2 Deanery Place
form a group.
