Public House. C15 or earlier origin with later, including C18, alterations and
additions. Timber framed and plastered. Red plain tile roofs. Two red brick
chimney stacks to central range, external chimney stack to left gabled
crosswing. Jetty and lean-to to right gabled crosswing, original jetty to left
crosswing now underbuilt. 2 storeys, attics and cellars. 1:2:1 window range of
mainly small paned vertically sliding sashes in moulded surrounds, some of three
lights. C18 six panelled door, moulded surround, frieze and flat canopy to left
crosswing. C20 glazed and panelled door and sidelight to right of central
range. Internally are chamfered and moulded beams and some original roof
construction. RCHM 4.
